FORMER ROCK ASSISTANT CAPTAIN JOINS COACHING STAFF

The Toronto Rock Lacrosse Club announced a change among the coaching staff this morning, with the hiring of former Toronto Rock defenseman, Terry Bullen as assistant coach.

Bullen will join head coach Glenn Clark and assistant coach Greg Van Sickle effective immediately, as defensive assistant coach for the upcoming Toronto Rock Season.

“The opportunity to add an individual of Terry Bullen’s stature to the Rock’s bench staff is considered to be a great asset to Coach Clark as we work towards bringing a championship to Toronto this season” says Mike Kloepfer, Director of Lacrosse Operations for the Toronto Rock.

Bullen, with six years of experience playing professional lacrosse beginning in 1993, spent his last three playing in Toronto for the Rock, including two Championship seasons in 1999 and 2000.
Terry played in a total of 61 regular season games during his professional career and retired as a player at the age of 38 in 2001. He is currently a high school teacher at Park Street Collegiate in Orillia, ON and is looking forward to this great opportunity.

Brad Watters, Toronto Rock President, believes Bullen will be an asset working with the Rock’s defensive line in 2007. “We are very happy to bring Terry onto the coaching staff for this season” Watters added.

Matt Sawyer, former assistant coach has been released.
