In-Game Host Wanted!

 

The Toronto Rock Lacrosse Club is currently seeking a qualified and outgoing individual for the part-time paid position of Game Day Event Host/Hostess & Video Correspondent during all of the Toronto Rock home games at Air Canada Centre for the 2015 season.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Executing all in-stand and on-floor entertainment promotions, interviews, PA reads and sponsorship fulfillment as required during the 2015 season, including pre-season and playoff games as required
  • Provide an entertaining and upbeat experience for the Toronto Rock fans, clients & guests in attendance
  • Conduct live interviews with players, special guests & fans during games and/or practices
  • Participate in Toronto Rock events (pre-game parties, Season Ticket Holder party etc.) as required
  • Assist with the development and execution of unique and updated online video content on torontorock.com
  • Attend a pre-determined number of Toronto Rock practices as required

 
Qualifications:

  • Energetic & engaging personality
  • Outgoing with a willingness and desire to have fun.
  • Comfortable performing in front of large crowds and on camera
  • Motivated, with the desire to enhance the game day experience for fans and positively represent the Toronto Rock
  • Strong interpersonal and public speaking skills
  • A professional demeanour and image
  • Flexible with using a script, but adaptable to improvise and “think on your feet” as required
  • Ability to take direction and constructive criticism
  • Have the ability to follow timing queues through a headset while remaining composed and confident  while on camera

 
Requirements:

  • Commitment for the entire 2015 Toronto Rock home schedule (January – April) and  for all scheduled event dates, including those outside of Toronto Rock home games if necessary
  • Commitment  for any pre-season games (December) and any applicable playoff games (May)
  • Performance under tight timing in-game schedules
  • Being prepared for upcoming games by familiarizing themselves with script, insuring new reads are noted and rehearsed
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Compensation based on experience
