Jim Veltman, Colin Doyle and Bob Watson Return to

The Rock have been busy in the past few weeks re-signing players to the 2007 Toronto Rock Roster.
Bob “Whipper” Watson, Jim “Scoop” Veltman and Colin “Popeye” Doyle are among those to return for this coming season.

Watson, the Rock starting goalie, signed a one year contract last week. Watson recorded 575 saves in the 2006 regular season and was honoured as the NLL Championship Game MVP in 2003.
New Rock head coach, Glenn Clark, believes Bob Watson is the best goalie in the NLL. ”There’s nobody else I’d want in net in a big game situation.”

Toronto Rock Captain, Jim Veltman, will be entering his ninth year in the NLL after signing a one year contract.
Jim (“Scoop”) holds the title of the NLL All Time leader in loose balls with 2,152.
Named the NLL League MVP in 2004, Veltman, the oldest player for the Toronto Rock, will be on the floor once again in Toronto this season.

Colin Doyle signed a two year contract, making this upcoming 2007 season his ninth year with the Toronto Rock. In the 2006 regular season, Doyle tallied 96 points, scoring 43 goals with 53 assists and is fifth on the NLL Regular Season All Time Points list, with 685 points. Doyle was also named the NLL League MVP in 2005.
Colin says he is “excited to be with the Rock again for another Championship run.”
Doyle, Veltman and Watson have all won five NLL Championships with the Rock in 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003 and 2005 and have played their entire NLL careers in Toronto.

Terms of the contract deals were not disclosed due to club policy.
