ROCK MAKE ROSTER MOVES AHEAD OF SATURDAY EXHIBITION

Final Roster Deadline Is One Week From Today

Oakville, ON – Toronto Rock Owner, President and GM Jamie Dawick announced a series of roster moves ahead of this Saturday’s exhibition game against the Colorado Mammoth at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre (TRAC) in Oakville, Ontario.

The Rock have released 2014 NLL Draft pick Brandon Benn and 2015 NLL Draft pick Jamie Batten.  Both players were unable to play this season due to other commitments.

On the injury side of things, Rock defender Damon Edwards has been moved to the Physically Unable To Perform List.  Edwards is targeting a return at some point during the 2016 season after tearing his ACL in the summer while playing for the Oakville Rock of Ontario’s Major Series Lacrosse.

Also moving to the inactive list is the recently acquired Mike Grimes who is unable to play in 2016 due to work commitments.  The veteran defender will be placed on the hold out list.

Following this Saturday’s exhibition scrimmage against Colorado, the Rock will play one more pre-season game against the Georgia Swarm on Saturday, December 19^th at 7 p.m. also at the TRAC.
