WATSON NAMED NLL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

TORONTO – Rock goaltender Bob Watson was among those honoured with National Lacrosse League player awards and has been named Defensive Player of the Week.

Watson is recognized for his role in the Toronto Rock win over the Edmonton Rush last Saturday January 19th at the Rexall Place. The Rock defeated the Rush by a score of 14-9.
Watson held the Rush to only 9 goals and recorded 37 saves in the Rock victory on the road.

The Toronto Rock (2-2) continue their schedule this weekend on Saturday January 26th 2008 when they host the New York Titans at the Air Canada Centre at 7:00 p.m. EST.
