Toronto – The Toronto Rock Lacrosse Club along with Captain Colin Doyle are pleased to introduce their full lineup of School Programs available to students across the Greater Toronto Area this season.
Colin Doyle Rocks Your Gym Socks *New
For the 2012 season, Colin Doyle wanted to be more involved in promoting healthy active lifestyles to students. Children are falling into the routine of watching television or playing video games instead of being active. To encourage students to be active, Colin will visit gym classes around the GTA to run “Colin Doyle Rocks Your Gym Socks”. The program entails the following; Colin will come into the schools and run the gym session, sport chosen by class or teacher. Colin will also take a few minutes at the end of the session to discuss the importance of healthy eating and answer any questions.
“Colin Doyle Rocks Your Gym Socks” is being offered to students in grades 3-8. For more information regarding this program click here.
Practice Like a Pro with Colin Doyle *New
After many requests from schools and lacrosse teams, the Toronto Rock Lacrosse Club have launched “Practice Like a Pro with Colin Doyle” for the 2012 season. This program offers the opportunity for High school lacrosse teams to have a Professional Athlete, Colin Doyle, come and run one of their lacrosse practices. Back by popular demand, Reading Rocks returns for another year. Colin Doyle will visit classrooms to promote the importance of reading to students in grades K-3. Colin reads a book to a small group and than discusses the meaning of the book while interacting with the students. For more details, click here.
