Auditions Set For 2014 Toronto Rock Cheerleaders

Toronto – The Toronto Rock Cheerleaders will return for a third consecutive season to not only entertain Rock fans at Air Canada Centre but also to continue their work in the community at promotional and charitable events.

“The work the Cheerleaders do for the Toronto Rock in the community is very valuable to the success of the franchise off the playing field,” said Rock Owner and President Jamie Dawick.  “We have a very dedicated group that are passionate about our team and the sport of lacrosse and that’s an important trait for any prospective cheerleader coming to auditions.”

The Rock welcome back Paola Cimitan as Head Coach of the Toronto Rock Cheerleaders for a third season.  Cimitan has served as both Manager and Head Coach with the Canadian Football League’s Toronto Argonauts Cheerleaders prior to joining the Rock for the 2012 season.

“I am excited to be back with the Toronto Rock and looking forward to incorporating some great new girls to the team and of course bringing back some strong veterans,” said Cimitan.  “I encourage any girl who has always dreamed of becoming a Cheerleader, and thinks she has what it takes, to come out to auditions.”

Tryouts for the 2014 Toronto Rock Cheerleaders will be held on Sunday, September 29th from 9am to 2pm at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre located at 1132 Invicta Drive in Oakville.  For more information, including the application form, please visit www.torontorock.com.  

The 2014 Toronto Rock Cheerleaders will be selected by a panel of judges including TSN 1050 Toronto’s morning man Mike Richards and Z103.5’s morning show host Scott Fox.  Also on the judging panel will be Rock Owner and President Jamie Dawick and Rock goaltending coach Pat Campbell.
