Scott Dominey Re-Signs

ROCK RE-SIGN SCOTT DOMINEY

Another Piece Of The Rock Future Inks 2-Year Deal

Oakville, ON – Toronto Rock Owner, President and GM Jamie Dawick today announced the re-signing of defender Scott Dominey to a 2-year contract.

The signing is pending league approval.

The 22-year old from Caledon, ON was originally selected by Toronto in the 2018 NLL Draft in the fifth round, 57th overall.  Dominey spent the bulk of the 2018-19 season on the practice roster but did find his way into one regular season game and scored once.  That one coast-to-coast breakaway goal stands out as one of the most memorable goals of the season.

Over the past few months, Dominey enjoyed a breakout summer with 14 goals in 14 games in his Major Series Lacrosse (MSL) rookie season with the Cobourg Kodiaks.  The single flash of brilliance that Rock fans saw last season has been a recurring event this summer.

“There’s going to be a lot of competition at training camp.  We are expecting Scott to come in here and win a job,” said Dawick.  “We have tracked him very closely this summer and he’s made a lot of progress.  I know he wants it bad and we are looking forward to seeing what he makes of this opportunity.”
