Corbeil, Dawson, and de Snoo Moved To Active Roster

Long Awaited Debut For Corbeil

Oakville, ON – Toronto Rock Owner, President, and GM Jamie Dawick today announced a number of roster moves ahead of Saturday’s final regular season home game against the Philadelphia Wings at Hamilton’s FirstOntario Centre.

After signing as an unrestricted free agent in the offseason, star defender Chris Corbeil injured himself during training for the season, tearing a pectoral muscle that required surgery.  The long road to recovery has finally reached an end and Corbeil will be available to make his long-awaited Toronto Rock debut on Saturday following his move to the Active Roster today.

Out since early February, reigning NLL Defender of the Year Mitch de Snoo was also moved to the Active Roster after missing the last six games with a lower body injury.  Along with de Snoo, forward Dan Dawson was placed on the Active Roster.

With three players going to the Active Roster, three players have been moved to Injured Reserve.  Sheldon Burns suffered an upper body injury in the closing moments of the Rock’s win over the Buffalo Bandits on April 1 and is out indefinitely.  In that same game, forward Stephen Keogh also suffered a lower body injury and Defender Jamison Dilks, lower body injury, both join Burns on the IR.

The upper bowl at FirstOntario Centre has once again been opened to accommodate the demand for tickets to Saturday’s game against Philadelphia.  The final regular season home game is also Fan Appreciation Night with some great prize giveaways during the game and following the lacrosse action on the floor, fans can stick around and meet the players and get an autograph from their favourite players.
