TORONTO – Toronto Rock training camp begins this weekend on Saturday November 8th in Six Nations at 2:00 p.m. at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena. The Rock will divide their training camp sessions over the next two months between the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena and the Scarborough Soccer Centre.
Among returning Rock players set to attend camp this weekend are newly acquired players Stephen Hoar and Luke Wiles to name a few. Both Wiles and Hoar were picked up by the Rock this past September.
Wiles tallied 54 points (20 goals, 34 assists) last season with the San Jose Stealth. In 2007, he accumulated 30 goals, 52 assists and 95 loose balls in the regular season, a team high for San Jose that year.
Hoar joins the Rock roster after winning an impressive 204 of 394 face-offs for the Rochester Knighthawks last season. He sits fifth on the NLL All-Time Faceoff Leader with 892 wins over five seasons with the Knighthawks.
The Scarborough Soccer Centre will be the practice facility for the Toronto Rock once training camp concludes and the team begins regular practices in December.
