Toronto Rock Total Access on TSN Radio 1050 Toronto

Toronto – The Toronto Rock and TSN Radio 1050 are pleased to announce the launch of Toronto Rock Total Access, a weekly one-hour radio show on Monday evenings from 7-8pm beginning January 2nd.  The show will take listeners inside the National Lacrosse League Champion Toronto Rock and also keep fans up to date on news from around the NLL.

Fans can listen to the program in Toronto on AM 1050 and nationally you can find the show online at tsn.ca/Toronto or on their mobile phone by downloading the TSN app for their BlackBerry, iPhone or Android device.

“There’s a solid lacrosse fan base in this city, which has become even broader since last year’s highly entertaining championship game,” said Robert Gray, Program Director, TSN Radio 1050. “We’re excited to add Toronto Rock Total Access to TSN Radio 1050’s slate of programming and give fans an insider’s look at the reigning NLL champion, while also keeping them up-to-date on all the latest news in the league.”

Toronto Rock Total Access will be hosted by Toronto Rock Communications and Public Relations Coordinator Mike Hancock and will feature player and coach interviews on top of in-depth analysis from prominent lacrosse experts.  Hancock served as the team’s play-by-play voice on the NLL Network during the 2009 and 2010 seasons and has also done television play-by-play for the Buffalo Bandits.

“This is a great opportunity for the Rock and a weekly radio presence is something I’ve seen as a need for the club for some time,” said an enthusiastic Rock Owner and President Jamie Dawick.  “This show is going to be a great venue for us to keep our current fans connected and also introduce some new fans to the Rock.”

The January 2nd debut of Toronto Rock Total Access will tee up the Rock home opener against the Calgary Roughnecks when the league champion raises its sixth Champion’s Cup banner to the rafters at Air Canada Centre. The Rock home opener will be broadcast live on TSN on Sunday, January 8th at 6pm ET, kicking off the team’s 11-game broadcast package on TSN and TSN2.
