What To Watch For Vs. Philadelphia Wings

Exhibition Schedule Wraps Up Against Wings

Oakville, ON – The Toronto Rock’s preseason concludes tonight at 7pm ET with an exhibition matchup against the Philadelphia Wings at the TRAC in Oakville, ON.

For those unable to attend, tonight’s game will be broadcast live on YourTV on Channel 700.  YourTV will carry the game to Cogeco cable subscribers throughout Halton Region.  Matt Cullen, Brian Shanahan, and Ashley Docking will bring you all the action.

Here’s what to watch for in tonight’s final preseason game.

  • Nick Rose will once again get the start in goal following an incredible preseason debut in last weekend’s 14-9 win over Colorado. Rose played three quarters and allowed just four goals on 34 shots.  Riley Hutchcraft will backup.
  • Aaron Forster has certainly made an impression during the two preseason games. The 2019 Rock first round pick is visibly playing with more confidence and playing the game aggressively.  He’s providing another legit scoring option, complimenting an already crowded right side that includes superstars Rob Hellyer, Dan Dawson, and Tom Schreiber.
  • Lefty forward, and VP of the NLLPA, Reid Reinholdt will make his preseason debut tonight. Reinholdt has proven to be a very reliable and clutch goal scorer throughout his career and will be looked upon to provide a veteran presence on the lefty side of the offence.
  • The Rock will have to submit their final roster on Monday, prior to the 12noon ET deadline. Teams carry an Active Roster of 21 players, with a maximum of four Practice Roster players.  In total, teams have a maximum of 31 players on the Active and Inactive Roster, except for Practice Roster players, players on season ending Injured Reserve, retired players post one year on the Retired List, suspended players, 2021 Draftees moved to the Draft List, and players on any Covid-19 lists.

There will be no charge for admission to tonight’s preseason finale.  However, with seating at the TRAC being extremely limited, admission will be on a first come, first served basis.  Fans will be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated prior to entering the TRAC and are asked to wear a mask at all times.

Fans are also asked to complete the TRAC COVID screening questionnaire prior to arriving in order to expedite entry.

Tonight, fans are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy or gift card for the Oakville Professional Firefighters Toy Drive.  If you can’t make tonight’s game and still want to donate, the Toy Drive donation bins will remain setup at the TRAC throughout December.

The Toronto Rock Home Opener is one week from tonight on Saturday, December 4 at Hamilton’s FirstOntario Centre.  Tickets for the game are on sale now through ticketmaster.ca and torontorock.com.
