Home Opener Is Guaranteed Win Night
Oakville, ON – The 2022-23 Toronto Rock theme night schedule has been announced with some exciting things on the schedule and the return of some very popular events.
As previously announced, the Home Opener on Saturday, December 3 will be Guaranteed Win Night. If the Rock don’t defeat the Vancouver Warriors, every fan who purchased a regular priced single game ticket to the December 3 game via ticketmaster.ca will receive a free ticket for any remaining 2022-23 regular season home game.
The Holiday Bash will be on Saturday, December 17 with an expanded set of events! The Teddy Bear Toss presented by Cogeco, and benefitting the United Way and McMaster Children’s Hospital, will return for a second consecutive season. When the Rock score their first goal after the beginning of the second quarter, it will quite a scene with Teddy Bears raining down to the turf. At halftime, fans will participate in a massive holiday sing-a-long featuring school choirs from across the GTHA. Fans will also be able to visit Santa’s Village and get their photo taken with the big guy. For this game, the Rock will wear their alternate black and gold Steel City jersey for the first of two games.
On Saturday, January 14, fans can Rock Through The Ages with each quarter of the game featuring a tribute to a different decade, fueled by that era’s soundtrack. Rock through the 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s! Fans will be encouraged to dress the part. A promotional ticket package will also be available for this game featuring a reversible neon/tie-dye Toronto Rock bucket hat. This package will go on sale in the coming weeks.
Saturday, February 4 will be Kidz Night and Charity Night benefitting the SmileZone Foundation and an upcoming project at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton. The Rock will wear their Steel City jerseys for the second and final time during the 2022-23 season as these jerseys will be auctioned off as part of the evening’s fundraising efforts. Fans will also be able to purchase one full priced adult ticket and receive a youth ticket free for this game. On sale date for this BOGO offer is November 15.
When the Rock host the Georgia Swarm on Saturday, February 18, it will be the return of Alumni Night. Welcome back past Rock legends and see some of your all-time favourites strap on the pads again for a halftime scrimmage. The night will also feature a pregame autograph session with the former Rock greats in attendance.
On Saturday, March 4 it’s the return of Country Night. The halftime show will feature an up-and-coming country music artist performing live on the turf at FirstOntario Centre. Along with the announcement of the halftime musical act, also keep your eyes out for the launch of the Country Night promotional ticket package featuring a Toronto Rock cowboy hat. This pack will also go on sale in the coming weeks.
Saturday, March 11 will be Indigenous Heritage Night. The Rock will wear a new version of the special jerseys worn at last year’s Indigenous Heritage Night game. The new jerseys for this game will be unveiled prior to the start of the regular season. The evening will once again be a celebration of the Indigenous roots of the game of lacrosse. It is a special night that you do not want to miss.
On Saturday, April 1, the Rock will host the Buffalo Bandits. Not only will it be Minor Lacrosse Night, but the first 5,000 fans in attendance will also receive a Billy Hostrawser Bobblefist. Yes, that’s right, not only does the head bobble, but so do the fists! A truly unique item that every Rock fan will want to have as part of their collection.
To wrap up the season on Saturday, April 15 it will be Fan Appreciation Night. Make sure you’re in attendance for this final home game before the playoffs but also to have your chance to win some amazing prizes from our partners.
