Ontario Native Literacy Coalition @ Section 116: Promoting and selling Akhwatsirehko:wa – My Big Family, which explores the game of lacrosse from a Haudenosaunee perspective and searches how the game of lacrosse has spiritually, emotionally, and intellectually aided indigenous and non indigenous players from all around the world, through their differing experiences within the sport.

Pre-Game: Ninjiichaag The Spirit Within – Is a group of Men’s Traditional Singers from the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation that will be performing a drumming ceremony. A Smudging Ceremony will be performed by NisoMakwa

Halftime: Stick Ball Game between Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabe Baagaadowewin, which will be narrated by Gary Parker, Seneca Nation.  Following the game, the Strong Water Singers will perform.  They are an Indigenous led women’s drum group that utilizes drumming as a means to achieve wellness and balance. One of the main focuses of the group is decolonizing and redefining Sisterhood, with the emphasis being placed on reclaiming traditional ideologies of our original teachings: love, truth, humility, respect, bravery, honesty, and wisdom.

Broadcast: Watch the game on TSN’s digital platforms through TSN+ via tsn.ca and the TSN App.  To stream the game, you need a subscription to TSN+.

Doors Open: 5:30pm ET – Fans have two points of entry to FirstOntario Centre, the Bay St. and York Blvd. entrances will both be open for Toronto Rock home games.

Bag Policy:  For the safety of FirstOntario Centre guests, only small clutches, belt bags or fanny-pack type bags are permitted and will be subject to visual inspection.

The maximum allowable bag size is 8” x 6” x 8” (20cm x 15cm x 20cm), including purses.  NO BACKPACKS WILL BE PERMITTED. Exceptions can be made for medically necessary items and diaper bags after security screening. We strongly encourage fans to leave all types of bags at home.

Additional Concession Stand is open in the event space accessible through the VOM at the bottom of section 118.
