Kevin Ross Traded To Rochester

Toronto Receives A 4th Round Pick And A Conditional 5th Round Pick

Oakville, ON – Toronto Rock Owner, President and General Manager Jamie Dawick announced a trade today, just one day before the Rock play their first pre-season game. Toronto has traded veteran forward Kevin Ross to the Rochester Knighthawks for their 2017 4th round pick and a conditional 5th round pick in 2018.

“Kevin is a veteran, quality player in this league and with the direction we’re heading in, I felt a move was necessary,” explained Dawick. “I wanted to get Kevin to a spot in this league where he could play. With how training camp has progressed and the performance of some of our younger players, this was the right time to do something, rather than wait until later in the month. Kevin was always a true professional with the Rock and I wish him all the best in the next chapter of his career.”

Toronto signed Ross as a free agent in March of 2014 after the Philadelphia Wings released him mid-season. While with the Rock, the 31-year old posted the second-best point total of his nine-year career with 55 points (21+34) in 17 games during the 2015 campaign.

In another roster move earlier this week, the Rock moved defender Damon Edwards to the Active Roster from the Physically Unable to Perform List.

The Rock won’t have to wait long to see Ross in his new uniform, as the Rock will open the 2017 regular season on Thursday, December 29th at Rochester against the Knighthawks. Toronto’s home opener will be against the back-to-back defending NLL Champion Saskatchewan Rush on Saturday, January 14 at Air Canada Centre.

Toronto Rock Season Tickets are on sale now. Single game tickets will go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, December 6th. For more information about Toronto Rock tickets, please call 416-596-3075 or visit www.torontorock.com.
