Rock Set Final Roster As Exhibition Finale Goes Saturday

ROCK SET FINAL ROSTER AS EXHIBITION FINALE FOR SATURDAY

Rock Sign Three Players To Practice Roster

Oakville, ON – Toronto Rock Owner, President and GM Jamie Dawick has announced the final few roster moves to finalize the team’s active roster heading into the final exhibition game of the pre-season on Saturday night.

Toronto released forwards Jordan Robertson, Kyle Aquin and goaltender Steve Fryer from the active roster and signed all 3 players to the practice roster.  Those moves leave the Rock with 20 players on the active roster and 3 players on the practice roster.  The Rock still have one practice roster spot available as team’s are able to sign up to 4 players to the practice roster.

Active Roster

Forwards (7): Kasey Beirnes, Colin Doyle, Turner Evans, Rob Hellyer, Brett Hickey, Stephan Leblanc, Dan Lintner

Transition (2): Jesse Gamble, Brodie Merrill

Defence (9): Glen Bryan, Sandy Chapman, Jeff Gilbert, Bill Greer, Bill Hostrawser, Luc Magnan, Rob Marshall, Patrick Merrill, Brock Sorensen

Goaltenders (2): Brandon Miller, Nick Rose

The active roster features a trio of rookies who were all selected in the 2015 NLL Draft.  Turner Evans (2nd round, 10th overall) and Luc Magnan (2nd round, 17th overall) were both selected by the Rock while Dan Lintner (1st round, 8th overall) was selected by New England and dealt to Toronto in October.

The Rock will play one more pre-season game against the Georgia Swarm on Saturday at 7 p.m. also at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre.  Fans are encouraged to bring a new unwrapped toy or a gift card to help support the Oakville Firefighters annual toy drive.  There is no charge for admission.

Fans who are unable to attend Saturday’s game can watch the game live on select TVCogeco stations and Rogers TV Toronto.
