Rock games return to radio with The Fan 590

TORONTO – The Toronto Rock Lacrosse Club is pleased to announce that 14 Rock games will air live on The Fan 590 AM radio station along with a new weekly show called “The Rock Hour” on Thursday nights from 9-10 p.m.

Dan Dunleavy will return as the voice of the Rock, and he will also host the one-hour radio show along with a guest from the Toronto Rock each week. It will cover the Rock, the NLL, the players, the trades, league news and much more.

“The Fan and the Toronto Rock have had a fabulous working relationship since the team’s inception,” said Nelson Millman, Vice-President, General Manager and Program Director for The Fan 590. “We are very pleased to continue our partnership with the team and we are looking forward to a great season of Rock programming and play-by-play.”

The following 14 games will be broadcast live on The Fan 590 on the AM dial:
Jan. 7 Arizona at Toronto 7:00 p.m.
Jan. 13 Buffalo at Toronto 7:30 p.m.
Jan. 14 Toronto at Rochester 7:35 p.m.
Jan. 21 Toronto at Buffalo 7:30 p.m.
Feb. 5 Toronto at Calgary 3:30 p.m.*
Feb. 11 Toronto at Edmonton 9:30 p.m.
Feb. 24 Hall of Fame Game
Philadelphia at Toronto 7:30 p.m.
Feb. 25 NLL All-Star Game

Rock president and owner Brad Watters said the agreement is a perfect fit for Rock fans from coast to coast. “This is a great partnership that will benefit our fans and the sport,” he said.

Fans outside of the Toronto area will be able to listen to all 14 games for free via the Fan 590 Web site at http://www.fan590.com.

The Toronto Rock Lacrosse Club is the defending National Lacrosse League champion. Toronto opens its quest for 6 in 06 on Jan. 7 with its Night of Champions, hosting the Arizona Sting at 7 p.m.
