ROCK READY FOR TILT WITH BANDITS

Toronto, ON – The Toronto Rock prepare to take on the Buffalo Bandits tonight at the Air Canada Centre in a battle for first place in the NLL’s Eastern Division. The Rock, currently sit a top the division with a 5-2 record, marred only by a pair of losses to the Rochester Knighthawks. The Rock holds a 10-3 overall record against the Bandits, that includes a 3-2 record on home turf. The Bandits dropped their last game in a surprising 14-8 loss to the Philadelphia Wings.

“We’ve hit the halfway mark for the season and every game is like a playoff game, especially in the Eastern Division. Each team has played extremely well to this point and one bad game can have a big impact on the standings. The guys have been fired up since Wednesday so the game is sure to be intense.” Terry Sanderson, Toronto Rock Head Coach and GM.

Tonight will also mark the third time the Rock has teamed up with Special Olympics to raise funds for community programs, sport training and competition. In the last two years the Rock, in partnership with Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment, has raised over $50,000 for Special Olympics Ontario.
