TORONTO ROCK ANNOUNCES 2010 SEASON SCHEDULE

Toronto –The Toronto Rock will open their 2010 National Lacrosse League (NLL) regular season schedule on the road against the Boston Blazers on Saturday January 9th at 7:30 p.m. ET before facing the Blazers again the following weekend when they host the team on January 15th at the Air Canada Centre for the home opener.
 
The NLL released the full 2010 schedule today which kicks off on Friday January 8th when the Philadelphia Wings host the Orlando Titans.  The season schedules for all teams can be found online at nll.com.
 
Each of the eleven member clubs will play a 16-game regular season schedule with eight home and eight away games.  Playoff format will remain the same with the top four finishing teams in each division will advance to the playoffs.  A schedule of the 2010 playoff weekends will be announced at a later date.
 
The Rock will face the Boston Blazers and the Rochester Knighthawks in the first four games of the season before hosting the Philadelphia Wings at home and travelling to Buffalo to face off against the Bandits early on.  The Edmonton Rush pay Toronto a visit before the Rock head out West on back to back weekends to face the NLL defending champions the Calgary Roughnecks on February 14th and the Rush on February 21st.  The Orlando Titans and the Buffalo Bandits visit Toronto before the Rock travels to Orlando for the first time.  The final four games of the Rock schedule includes a home game against Calgary, another trip to Buffalo and a trip to Philadelphia before facing off against Rochester for the third time as the regular season schedule wraps up with a Knighthawks visit to the ACC April 16th.
