Toronto Rock Final Roster Announced

Active Roster is set heading into Home Opener

Oakville, ON – Toronto Rock Owner, President and GM Jamie Dawick today announced the team’s season opening 21-player Active Roster ahead of Saturday’s Home Opener against the Albany FireWolves at Hamilton’s FirstOntario Centre.

“Training camp went really well overall, and we have progressed nicely to this point with one more practice before we play our first game on Saturday night,” said Dawick.  “The roster has come together the way we thought it would for the most part before we went into training camp, and we’re excited about it.  Everyone had a really solid camp.”

Active Roster

Forwards (8): Dan Craig, Dan Dawson, Aaron Forster, Rob Hellyer, Zach Manns, Reid Reinholdt, Tom Schreiber, Justin Scott

Defence (11): Mitch de Snoo, Jamison Dilks, Latrell Harris, Bill Hostrawser, Adam Jay, Josh Jubenville, Bradley Kri, Jason Noble, Challen Rogers, Brandon Slade, Chris Weier

Goalies (2): Riley Hutchcraft, Nick Rose

Two true rookies have cracked the Active Roster.  2020 NLL Draft pick (4th Round, 62nd overall) Chris Weier has enjoyed a very impressive training camp, earning a spot.  The other first year Rock is forward Justin Scott who was a free agent signing prior to training camp.  Aaron Forster (1 Game) and Jamison Dilks (2 Games) still carry rookie status despite each getting into NLL game action during the 19-20 season.  They’ve played 3 games or less and are still considered NLL rookies.

In addition to the Active Roster, defenders Phil Mazzuca, Jordan McKenna and goalie Troy Holowchuk have been signed to the Practice Roster.  Sheldon Burns suffered a lower body injury in the Rock’s November 20th preseason game and will begin the season on the Injured Reserve.  Faceoff wizard TD Ierlan suffered a lower body injury during the PLL season and will start on the Physically Unable to Perform List.

Tickets for Saturday’s Home Opener at FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton are on sale now through ticketmaster.ca and torontorock.com.
