TORONTO ROCK ACQUIRE FORWARD JASON CROSBIE

TORONTO – The Toronto Rock acquired NLL unrestricted free agent Jason Crosbie this week for the upcoming 2009 season.

The Rock have signed the former Philadelphia Wings forward who qualified for unrestricted free agency following the 2008 season to a two year deal pending league approval. Terms of the deal were not disclosed due to club policy.

Director of Lacrosse Operations for the Toronto Rock, Mike Kloepfer says the eight year NLL veteran will add offensive depth to the roster. “We are happy to have Jason join our team. He is a smart proven player that will compliment our offence.”

Crosbie played with the Philadelphia Wings for one season in 2008 after being traded from the Buffalo Bandits in July 2007 along with Steve Dietrich for Sean Greenhalgh. He appeared in all 16 regular season games last season with the Wings and tallied 51 points with 11 goals and 40 assists.

“I am really looking forward to this season” says Crosbie who lives in Hampton, Ontario. “It’s exciting to come back home and play in Toronto. The team is poised to be solid this year and I hope to be an integral part of that and possibly win a Championship.”
