What to watch for vs. Buffalo Bandits

It’s the best rivalry in the NLL!

Mississauga, ON – The Toronto Rock (3-6) will play their biggest game of the regular season to this point when they take on the undefeated Buffalo Bandits (6-0) at Paramount Fine Foods Centre in Mississauga.  It’s the second and final regular season meeting between the two teams after the Bandits posted a 15-13 comeback win on January 10th in Buffalo.

Fans can watch the game vs. Buffalo at 7:00pm ET on TSN and on TSN’s digital platform TSN+ via TSN.ca and the TSN App as well as ESPN+.  To stream the game on TSN+ or ESPN+, a paid subscription is required.

Here’s what to watch for in Friday’s matchup.

  • The Rock had their three-game winning streak snapped in heartbreaking fashion last weekend at the hands of the San Diego Seals. On the bright side, the Rock have won three of their past four and since the calendar turned to 2025, they have played some inspired lacrosse.
  • Phil Mazzuca stepped on a ball in pregame warmup prior to last week’s game and will be unavailable for tonight’s game. Also unavailable is Rock defender Josh Jubenville who left last week’s loss to the Seals with an upper body injury in the 3rd Both players have been moved to the Injured Reserve List.  Moving from the Practice Roster to the Active Roster are Zack Kearney and Jake Darlison.
  • Corey Small scored his 400th career goal last week and had his most productive game of the season. Small became just the 17th player in NLL history to achieve the milestone.
  • While the Rock have struggled against the Bandits in recent years, they do have the all-time head-to-head lead at home. The Rock are 19-13 at home against Buffalo.
  • The Rock will wrap up their home stand next weekend when they welcome the Georgia Swarm to Rock City on Saturday, February 22 at Paramount Fine Foods Centre in Mississauga at 7pm.

A new episode of the Toronto Rock Total Access Podcast is out now.  This week’s guest is Brad Kri.  Listen to the show to get you ready for tonight’s game!

Fans should also check out a new episode of Rock City Unplugged, streaming now on the Rock’s YouTube Channel and on TSN+.
