What to watch for vs. Buffalo Bandits

It’s Rivalry Night!

Hamilton, ON – The Toronto Rock (6-4) host the Buffalo Bandits (5-6) tonight in the only regular season meeting between the two long-time rivals at TD Coliseum in Hamilton.  Last night, the Bandits played at home and were extended to overtime by the top team in the NLL the Saskatchewan Rush but it was Buffalo’s Josh Byrne that scored the OT game winner.

Fans can watch the game vs. Buffalo at 7:00pm ET on TSN 3. Alternatively, tune in on TSN’s digital platform TSN+ via TSN.ca and the TSN App as well as ESPN+.  To stream the game on TSN+ or ESPN+, a paid subscription is required.  Also, watch the game on NLL+ for FREE!

Here’s what to watch for in Saturday’s matchup.

  • The Toronto Rock placed Dan Craig on the Injured Reserve on Friday ruling him out for Saturday’s game. Craig did not dress last week vs. Colorado.
  • On Tuesday, the Rock addressed a need when they dealt a 2026 4th Rd pick to the Philadelphia Wings in exchange for faceoff specialist Nick Rowlett. In 6 GP this season, Rowlett has won an impressive 59.7% of his faceoffs.
  • Challen Rogers did it again. He scored a hat trick in the Rock’s 13-9 win over Colorado, the 4th straight game that the Rock Captain has accomplished the feat.  He’s playing with a level of confidence that’s driving this team.
  • Not to be undersold is the Mailman Mark Matthews who is settling in unsurprisingly as the team’s field general. However, the athleticism shown by Matthews has been impressive in the last few weeks as he has turned back the clock.
  • On the Buffalo side, following morning shoot around they placed Ian MacKay on Injured Reserve after he suffered a lower body injury last night against Saskatchewan. Carter Coffey has been placed on the Active Roster in his place.
  • INJURY REPORT: TD Ierlan is on the PUP List. Zack Kearney is on the Season Ending Injured Reserve List. Nick Rose (Lower), Justin Martin (Lower), Dan Craig (Lower), and Chris Weier (Upper) are on the Injured Reserve List.
  • The Rock will play away from home for the next two weekends with a trip westward to Vancouver next week to take on one of the NLL’s top dogs in the Warriors on Friday, March 6th.

Fans can check out the latest episode of Rock City Unplugged featuring behind the scenes access and interviews with Rock players and staff that gives you a peek behind the curtain.  On this episode, the creative genius behind the Rock’s Indigenous Heritage Night jerseys Kory Parkin is featured.

A new episode of the Toronto Rock Total Access Podcast also dropped featuring the return of the Captain and the co-host Challen Rogers.
