What to watch for vs. Colorado Mammoth

Back Half of Home-and-Home Set Goes Tonight

Hamilton, ON – The Toronto Rock (5-4) host the Colorado Mammoth (8-2) tonight in the back half of the home-and-home between the two clubs at TD Coliseum in Hamilton.  Last weekend, Colorado got the better of the Rock in a 16-8 decision in Denver.  Tonight, the Rock will be looking for revenge and, in the process, would snap the Mammoth’s seven-game winning streak.

Fans can watch the game vs. Colorado at 7:30pm ET on NLL+ for FREE!  Alternatively, tune in on TSN’s digital platform TSN+ via TSN.ca and the TSN App as well as ESPN+.  To stream the game on TSN+ or ESPN+, a paid subscription is required.

Here’s what to watch for in Friday’s matchup.

  • Challen Rogers is good. Consistently good. The Rock captain has found his groove offensively with 3 goals in each of his last 3 games. He’s also closing in on 300 career points as he sits at 290 heading into tonight’s game vs. the Mammoth.
  • Only one rookie goal scoring streak remains. Owen Hiltz scored in last weekend’s game vs. Colorado and CJ Kirst did not.  It was the first time in his young NLL career that Kirst didn’t score a goal, while Hiltz’s 9-game goal scoring streak is still very much alive.
  • The Rock have been ravaged by injuries as of late and last weekend the team removed the practice player tag designation on Jake Darlison which freed up a Practice Roster spot. With that spot the Rock signed defender Kobe Handsor, who the Rock had originally selected in the 5th round of the 2025 NLL Draft.
  • While it wasn’t necessarily the circumstances the Rock planned for, Steven Orleman made his Rock debut in last weekend’s loss to Denver. He was very good in relief and gave the Rock 30 quality minutes between the pipes.
  • INJURY REPORT: TD Ierlan is on the PUP List. Zack Kearney and Justin Martin are on the Season Ending Injured Reserve List. Nick Rose (Lower) Chris Weier (Upper) is on the Injured Reserve List.
  • The Rock are at home again next weekend against the Buffalo Bandits for the only meeting of the regular season between the two bitter rivals.

Fans can check out the latest episode of Rock City Unplugged featuring behind the scenes access and interviews with Rock players and staff that gives you a peek behind the curtain.  On this episode, the creative genius behind the Rock’s Indigenous Heritage Night jerseys Kory Parkin is featured.

A new episode of the Toronto Rock Total Access Podcast also dropped featuring a chat with Shaye Getzinger, the Rock’s Digital Media Coordinator and some Listener Mailbag action.
