What to watch for vs. Philadelphia Wings

Rock Win Streak Needs To Begin Tonight

Mississauga, ON – The Toronto Rock (4-9) are coming off a tough road loss to Vancouver, but they are facing a struggling Philadelphia Wings (5-8) who have lost six straight games.  Both teams will be extra hungry for a win tonight.

Fans can watch the game vs. Philadelphia at 7:00pm ET on TSN’s digital platform TSN+ via TSN.ca and the TSN App as well as ESPN+.  To stream the game on TSN+ or ESPN+, a paid subscription is required.  Sign up for NLL+ and watch the game for FREE!

Here’s what to watch for in Saturday’s matchup.

  • On Friday, the Rock placed superstar forward Tom Schreiber on the Injured Reserve List with a lower body injury. There is no timetable set for his return.  Going to the Active Roster from the Practice Roster is forward Luke Robinson.
  • Last week’s 13-8 loss to Vancouver snapped the Rock’s three-game road winning streak.
  • The Rock may be 4-4 in their last 8 games, but the damage was done in the first five games of the season when they failed to register a win. Couple that with all the injuries and one-goal losses and it’s easy to connect the dots on the Rock’s season.
  • On February 25th, the “other trade” the Rock made was shipping star defenders Mitch de Snoo and Chris Corbeil to Philadelphia for the Wings’ 2025 1st round pick. Since that trade, the Wings have lost two in a row to run their losing streak to six games.  Double motivation for the Rock to win tonight, improve their chances at a playoff spot AND improve the value of the 1st round pick acquired in the deal.  A Rock win AND an Albany win over Buffalo tonight, and the Rock would hold the top 3 picks in the 2025 NLL Draft.
  • Heading into the weekend, Josh Dawick is one of just five players league wide to score at least one goal in every game they’ve played this season.
  • Nathan Grenon needs just 1 point to hit 100 in his NLL career.
  • Brad Kri is 17 loose balls away from being just the second player in Rock history to hit the 1,000 mark. The other is Jim Veltman (1,958)
  • INJURY REPORT: Brian Cameron (Lower) remains on the IR.  Tom Schreiber (Lower) joined him on the IR on Friday.  Robert Hudson is questionable for tonight’s game with an upper body injury.
  • The Rock will enjoy a bye week before heading to Las Vegas to face the Desert Dogs on Sunday, April 5 at 5pm ET.

Earlier today, a brand new episode of the Toronto Rock Total Access podcast dropped!  Check it out and get ready for the game.

Fans should also check out a new episode of Rock City Unplugged, debuting tonight at 7:30pm ET on the Rock’s YouTube Channel.
