What to watch for vs. Rochester Knighthawks

Rock Finish Season On The Road

Rochester, NY – The Toronto Rock (5-12) will wrap up their 2024-25 regular season on the road tonight at Rochester to face the playoff bound Knighthawks (10-7) at Blue Cross Arena.

Fans can watch the game vs. Rochester at 6:00pm ET on NLL+ and on TSN’s digital platform TSN+ via TSN.ca and the TSN App as well as ESPN+.  To stream the game on TSN+ or ESPN+, a paid subscription is required.

Here’s what to watch for in Friday’s matchup.

  • Earlier today, the Rock placed faceoff beast TD Ierlan on the Active Roster from the Injured Reserve List and he will play tonight against the Knighthawks. Gavin Thibeault was placed on the Practice Roster from the Active Roster.
  • This is the first and only meeting between the Rock and the Knighthawks and it comes on the final day of the 2024-25 regular season. One team has a lot to play for, and the other is playing for pride.  The Knighthawks are searching for a win and hoping that Philadelphia can beat Vancouver in order for their playoff run to begin at home in the NLL Quarterfinals.
  • Josh Dawick hit the 40-goal mark with a pair of goals last night, and Chris Boushy’s 5 goals ran his season total to 37 putting him within striking distance of his first 40-goal season. The Rock have only had two 40-goal scorers in the same season twice. Corey Small (40) and Tom Schreiber (48) did it in 2023, while Colin Doyle (42) and Aaron Wilson (41) achieved the feat together in 2005.
  • After last weekend’s results, the Rock have locked in the first and second overall picks in the draft as they own their own pick and Las Vegas’ first rounder this year. The Rock also own the Philadelphia Wings’ first rounder and if things go “well” for the Rock, they could end the weekend with the top 3 picks in the 2025 NLL Draft.
  • INJURY REPORT: Tom Schreiber (lower body), and Dan Craig (lower body) are both on the IR and will not play tonight.

Fans should also check out a new episode of Rock City Unplugged on the Rock’s YouTube Channel.
