What to watch for vs. Vancouver Warriors

Rock Trying To Snap Two-Game Home Losing Streak

Hamilton, ON – The Toronto Rock (7-2) face the Vancouver Warriors (2-7) on Saturday night at FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton, ON.  The Rock are perfect on the road this season at 4-0, however after winning their first three at home, it’s been two straight losses.  It’s a streak the first-place Rock would love to end this evening with a triumph over the last-place Warriors.

Fans can watch the game vs. Vancouver at 7:00pm ET on TSN’s digital platform TSN+ via TSN.ca and the TSN App as well as ESPN+.  To stream the game, you need a TSN+ subscription.

Here’s what to watch for in Saturday’s matchup.

  • The Rock placed forward Dan Craig (upper body injury) and defender Mitch de Snoo (lower body injury) on the Injured Reserve List after this morning’s shoot around. Moving to the Active Roster from the Practice Roster are Cam Milligan and the newly acquired Alex Kew.
  • To acquire defender Alex Kew, the Rock sent a 6th Round Pick to the Buffalo Bandits. Kew had spent the entire season the Bandits’ Practice Roster.
  • The countdown to 1k is on! Mark Matthews is just 7 points away from 1,000 in his brilliant NLL career!  With 11 points last week, the Mailman has been on fire, will that trend continue tonight?
  • Speaking of on fire, Corey Small has 25 goals through 9 games and is on track to score 50 goals in a season for the first time in his NLL career. Last season, his first in Toronto, Small tucked home 40 goals and his career high is 46 established during the 2017 season with Vancouver.  Only one player in Rock history has scored 50 goals in a season, that’s Brett Hickey back in 2015.
  • The Rock are a +23 in GF/GA while the Warriors are a -15 on the season.
  • Injury Report: Josh Jubenville (UBI), Challen Rogers (UBI), Dan Craig (UBI) and Mitch de Snoo (LBI) are all out for tonight’s game. Tyler Hendrycks, Latrell Harris, Chase Schiavon and Jordan McKenna all remain on the PUP List.
  • The Rock will be back away from home next weekend for a pair of games. Friday night in Las Vegas and Saturday night in San Diego.

Fans should also check out the latest episode of Rock City Unplugged, streaming now on the Rock’s YouTube Channel and on TSN+.
