What to watch for vs. Vancouver Warriors

Rock Trying To Stay Alive!

Mississauga, ON – The Toronto Rock (5-10) need some help if they are going to make the playoffs, but tonight they can help themselves with a win when they take on the streaking Vancouver Warriors (9-7) at Paramount Fine Foods Centre in Mississauga.

Fans can watch the game vs. Vancouver at 8:00pm ET on TSN and on TSN’s digital platform TSN+ via TSN.ca and the TSN App as well as ESPN+.  To stream the game on TSN+ or ESPN+, a paid subscription is required.

Here’s what to watch for in Friday’s matchup.

  • This morning following shoot around, the Rock made a roster move activating defender Robert Hudson from the Injured Reserve List. Moving to the Practice Roster is forward Gavin Thibeault.
  • Last time out, the Warriors defeated the Rock 13-8 on March 14 in Vancouver. The game also marked the first for Christian Del Bianco in a Warriors uniform.  Since then, Vancouver has not lost, are winners of four in a row, and are presently in a race to host a home playoff game in the first round as they sit in 5th place entering the weekend.
  • All-time the Rock are 13-2 against the Vancouver Warriors/Stealth franchise and are 7-0 at home.
  • Josh Dawick is one of just four players league wide to score in every game this season.
  • In order to stay alive in the playoff hunt, the Rock will need to beat Vancouver and Las Vegas, Philadelphia and Saskatchewan must all win this weekend as well. If any one of those things doesn’t happen, the Rock will officially be eliminated from playoff contention.
  • INJURY REPORT: Tom Schreiber (lower body) and TD Ierlan (upper body) are all on the IR.
  • The Rock will wrap up their regular season next weekend with a home game on Friday vs. Halifax followed by a game at Rochester the very next night.
