BOB WATSON RECEIVES NLL DEFENSIVE HONOURS

TORONTO – The National Lacrosse League has named Rock goaltender Bob Watson the Defensive Player and the Overall Player of the Week.

This past weekend, the Rock defeated the Edmonton Rush at home on March 21st and the Buffalo Bandits the next evening on the road March 22nd. Watson is accredited with the NLL honours this week for his role in leading the team to the two wins by holding the Rush to nine goals in the 14-9 win over Edmonton and holding Buffalo to seven goals in Saturday’s 13-9 win at the HSBC Arena.

This will be Watson’s third time receiving NLL Defensive Player of the week honours when he was previously recognized for his contribution to Rock wins during the weeks of January 23rd and February 11th.
