Colin Doyle Will Have Season Ending Surgery Monday

Rock Forward Sustained Injury Away From Lacrosse

Oakville, ON – Toronto Rock President, Owner and General Manager Jamie Dawick has confirmed that Rock Captain Colin Doyle will require surgery on an upper body injury sustained away from lacrosse that will end his 2016 season.

The 38-year old was in the midst of a very Doyle-like season, with 45 points in 10 games, good for third in team scoring. He missed the last three games and was originally expected to be back in the lineup this weekend. Upon further examination in the last 24 hours, Rock medical staff determined he would require surgery that would bring his season to a close. Doyle will undergo surgery on Monday and the club will not be making any further comment on the injury until after the weekend.

The Rock will be at home tomorrow night at Air Canada Centre at 7 p.m. against the New England Black Wolves.
