DAMON EDWARDS MOVED TO ACTIVE ROSTER FOR TONIGHT’S PLAYOFF GAME

Veteran Defender Returns For Post-Season Battle In Georgia

Duluth, GA – Toronto Rock Owner, President and GM Jamie Dawick announced this morning that veteran defender Damon Edwards has been moved from the Injured Reserve List to the Active Roster for tonight’s East Division Semi-Final in Georgia against the Swarm. Fans can watch tonight’s game on Bleacher Report Live at 7:30 p.m. ET.

While the two teams finished with identical 12-6 regular season records, the Swarm held a 2-1 edge in the head-to-head meetings this season, earning the right to host tonight’s one-game East Division Semi-Final showdown.

The Rock’s lone win over the Swarm was back on Jan. 18 at Scotiabank Arena. The full-staffed Rock defeated the Georgia by a count of 14-9 on that evening, one of Toronto’s most complete wins of the season. The Swarm beat the Rock 12-11 on a last-minute goal on Dec. 28 and had a one-sided 14-5 win in Georgia against a short-staffed Rock squad on Mar. 22.

The winner of tonight’s playoff matchup will advance to face the top-seeded Bandits on Sat., May 11 in Buffalo at KeyBank Center in the East Division Championship Game.

Moving to the Injured Reserve List is defender Jay Thorimbert who recently suffered a lower body injury.
