Grey Cup In The Building On Friday

Toronto, ON – On Friday night, the Toronto Rock will welcome the 100th Grey Cup Champion Toronto Argonauts to Air Canada Centre when they face the Calgary Roughnecks.  The game can be seen live on TSN2 and TSN Mobile TV at 7:30pm.

In late November, the Argos defeated the Calgary Stampeders at Rogers Centre in Toronto to win the CFL championship.  On Friday night, the Rock hope the reigning Grey Cup champions can bring them a little luck when they face Calgary for early season NLL supremacy.

“We’re not too far removed from our last championship in 2011,” said Rock Owner and President Jamie Dawick.  “The city embraced our win and they embraced the Argos and their historic championship last fall.  We’re proud of what the Argos were able to bring to the sports fans of Toronto and it’s up to us to keep the ball rolling as the Rock pursue another championship for this city.”

Fans will have the opportunity to have their photo taken with the Grey Cup prior to the game on the Air Canada Centre concourse and are asked to bring their own camera to capture a picture.  Also, before the game action begins, Argo players Joel Reinders, Andre Durie, Mike Bradwell, Jason Pottinger and Matt Black will participate in a ceremonial faceoff with Rock captain Colin Doyle and Calgary captain Andrew McBride.

At this Friday’s game, the first 5,000 fans in attendance will receive a limited edition Colin Doyle bobblehead courtesy of Bachly Construction.  For the best ticket in town, visit www.torontorock.com or call 416-596-3075.
