Inside Lacrosse Announces www.NLLInsider.com

With more than one million fans flocking to NLL stadiums last year, Inside Lacrosse decided to answer the call and provide the sport’s most passionate fan base with its own specialized website.

“This was a natural move on our part and one that we’re very excited about,” said Inside Lacrosse Vice President and Editor-in-Chief John Jiloty. “The NLL and its fanbase grow every year, and these websites will allow us to do so much more to cover indoor and box lacrosse.”

Featuring video, lifestyle, fantasy, breaking news, scouting reports, stats, opinions, rankings, game coverage and more, NLL Insider covers everything for the NLL as well as Jr. A and Sr. A boxla in the summer.

NLL Insider has tapped a talented team of writers to lead the editorial coverage. With Bob Chavez of the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle and longtime Canadian lacrosse journalist Paul Tutka serving as managing editors, veteran TV analyst and Inside Lacrosse Magazine Editor Brian Shanahan as the site’s senior writer and a host of experienced writers from all over North America, NLL Insider has the sport covered from every angle.

Also on board is the sport’s most star-studded collection of Insider contributors. All-star players like Brodie Merrill, Lewis Ratcliff, Geoff Snider, Jim Moss and Frank Resetarits, and veteran coaches like Chris Hall, Tom Ryan and Brian Silcott lead an elite group of Insiders that will take NLL Insider readers closer to the game than anyone’s gotten them before.

“We view the creation of NLLInsider.com as another step forward in the coverage of the National Lacrosse League by Inside Lacrosse,” said NLL Commissioner Jim Jennings. “The increased commitment of time and resources by Inside Lacrosse to create NLL Insider shows that the fans’ demand for coverage of our league is on the rise.”

As a further show of Inside Lacrosse’s commitment to indoor and box lacrosse, IL recently purchased Wingszone.com, the most popular online message board for the National Lacrosse League. With a membership of more than 6,000 passionate indoor lacrosse fans, Wingszone, which was started in 1998 by John Sapello, is the best online community for the NLL.

IL purchased LacrosseForums.com three years ago and has taken its membership from 3,000 to more than 32,000, and the company strongly values vibrant message board communities such as these. In the last 12 months, there have been over 1.2 million unique visitors to InsideLacrosse.com and this number continues to grow.

Inside Lacrosse is the premier media company in the sport of lacrosse. Founded in 1997 by Robert Carpenter, Inside Lacrosse now includes Inside Lacrosse Magazine, Inside Lacrosse on ESPN, InsideLacrosse.com, InsideLacrosse.com Video, LacrosseForums.com, Face-Off Yearbook, NLLInsider.com, Wingszone.com and several other products and services unique to the company.
