‘Shooter’ Put Up 6 Assists In Rock’s First Win
Oakville, ON – The National Lacrosse League has announced Toronto Rock forward Josh Sanderson as the “Air Canada Wingman of the Week” award winner for Week 8 of the 2016 NLL season.
Sanderson posted a team-high seven points (1G+6A), game-high six assists, and the game-winning goal as the Rock earned its first victory of the season with a 14-12 home win over the Buffalo Bandits on Friday night. After missing the first five games of the year due to injury, Sanderson has sparked Toronto with 12 points (2G+10A) in two games, and now ranks fifth in team scoring and tied for seventh in the NLL overall with a six points-per-game average.

The 19-year NLL veteran has posted 60 or more points in each of his last 14 seasons including five 100-plus point campaigns.
