Josh Sanderson Offensive Player of the Week

Toronto – The National Lacrosse League announced their players of the week earlier today and Rock forward Josh Sanderson has been named the NLL’s Offensive Player of the Week for Week 4 of the season.

Sanderson sparked Toronto’s fourth quarter comeback on Friday night at home against Rochester scoring the first goal of a six-goal run that catapulted the Rock from three goals down with less than 10 minutes to go, into the lead for good en route to their first win of the season.

The 34-year old forward finished the night with 3 goals and 2 assists.

The following night in Calgary, Sanderson continued his offensive outburst.  Recording his second hat trick in as many nights, he added 6 assists to lead the Rock to a 14-13 overtime win at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

The NLL’s Defensive player of the week is Edmonton goaltender Aaron Bold while Jordan MacIntosh of Minnesota is the Rookie of the Week.  Minnesota’s Andrew Suitor is the Transition Player of the Week.

The Rock will travel to Philadelphia on Saturday night to face the Wings for the first time this season.  The game can be seen live on TSN2 at 7pm ET and will also be available on TSN Mobile TV.
