Rock Sign Trio

Toronto – Toronto Rock General Manager Terry Sanderson has announced the signing of three players.  Mike Hobbins, Brenden Thenhaus and Nick Inch have all signed one-year agreements with the Toronto Rock.

Defender Mike Hobbins returns for a fifth season with the Rock.  The 28-year old native of Peterborough, ON scored 8 points (2 goals, 6 assists) in 14 regular season games in 2012 while also collecting 39 loose balls.  He has played four of his six NLL seasons with Toronto after playing his first two professional seasons with Chicago.

Six-year NLL veteran forward Brenden Thenhaus enters his second season with the Rock in 2013.  The 26-year old who hails from Burlington, ON was signed by the Rock in January of 2012 from Buffalo’s practice roster.  Thenhaus scored 10 goals and added 11 assists for 21 points in 12 games last season.  His biggest goal of the season came in Toronto’s 7-6 first round playoff win over Buffalo as Thenhaus scored the game winning goal with just 1:35 to play in regulation.

Defender Nick Inch was acquired by the Rock from the Minnesota Swarm in September of 2011 but did not play in 2012 as he pursued a career in firefighting.  The 27-year old Kitchener, ON native played each of his four previous NLL seasons for the Swarm.
