Toronto, ON – The Philadelphia Wings home opener against the Toronto Rock previously scheduled for tonight has been postponed due to blizzard-like conditions in the Philadelphia area, by order of the Commissioner’s office. The game will be rescheduled, and a new date will be announced later this week.
A major winter storm hit the Northeast region today, at approximately 10am. The snowstorm could bring more then 15 inches to the Philadelphia area.
“Due to the blizzard-like conditions that have incapacitated the city, we consulted with the people at Comcast Spectacor about postponing the game,” said NLL Commissioner Jim Jennings. “The decision to postpone the game was in everyone’s best interests.”
