Steel City Jerseys Unveiled

Rock Will Wear Black And Gold On December 18th

Oakville, ON – The Toronto Rock unveiled a new third jersey today, paying tribute to both their new home in Hamilton and to the team’s history.  The new black and gold jerseys will be worn for the first time on Saturday, December 18th when the Rock face the Philadelphia Wings.

The design of the jersey features a black and gold version of the Toronto Rock logo on the chest.  The arms of the jersey include a gold arm band recognizing Hamilton’s OHL team, the Bulldogs.  The second arm feature includes striping that matches that of the CFL’s Tiger-Cats jerseys.  That same Ticats striping is located at the bottom of the jersey as well.

The new shoulder patch has several unique elements.  The ‘hammer’ stands tall as the focal point of the design, recognizing the city of Hamilton’s well-known moniker.  There are six music notes in place, one for each of the Toronto Rock’s six NLL championships.  The lacrosse glove that is swinging the hammer is pulled from the Rock’s original CN Tower logo that served as the team’s primary logo for the 1999 and 2000 seasons.  Lastly, the cuff of the lacrosse glove proudly displays ‘Rock City’ to truly connect and unify the entire Rock fan base.

The Toronto Rock Home Opener is scheduled for Saturday, December 4 at Hamilton’s FirstOntario Centre.  Tickets for the game are now on sale to the general public through ticketmaster.ca and torontorock.com.
