TSN TO AIR NLL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME LIVE ON SATURDAY

TSN today announced that the 2010 National Lacrosse League Championship Game will air live on Saturday, May 15 at 10:30 p.m. ET from the Comcast Arena at Everett in Everett, Washington.

The Championship Game features the Toronto Rock visiting the Washington Stealth.  Toronto is seeking its sixth NLL title in 12 seasons while the Stealth is chasing its first championship in franchise history.

“We are elated that TSN will be airing the NLL Championship Game,” said Rock president & owner, Jamie Dawick. “Now Rock fans nationwide will be able to watch us fight for our sixth Champion’s Cup.”

TSN will produce the game in association with Versus and will feature Brian Duff calling the action alongside analyst Brian Shanahan and host Claude Feig.  The game will air live across Canada in both Standard and High Definition on TSN and TSN HD, respectively, and will air in the United States on Versus.

The Toronto Rock, the East division’s #2 seed in this year’s playoffs, features a potent offense having scored 197 regular-season goals – second only to Washington.  Toronto has one of the most balanced offensive attacks in the league with four players in the top 10 in scoring.  The Rock is the only team in the NLL this year with three players with at least 30 goals and at least 80 points in the regular season.
