What to watch for vs. Georgia Swarm

Rock Begin Three-Game Home Stand

Hamilton, ON – The Toronto Rock (3-2) are back at home for the first time in 2026 and begin a three-game home stand against the Georgia Swarm (3-3) who, like the Rock, are coming off a big win last weekend.

Fans can watch the game vs. Georgia at 7:00pm ET for FREE on NLL+.  Alternatively, fans can stream the game through TSN’s digital platform TSN+ via TSN.ca and the TSN App as well as ESPN+.  To stream the game on TSN+ or ESPN+, a paid subscription is required.

Here’s what to watch for in Saturday’s matchup.

  • Have the Toronto Rock found their identity? Perhaps they have. Two weeks ago, the Rock defeated San Diego on the road by a score of 12-7 and it was classic Toronto Rock lacrosse.  And then last week, the Rock built on that effort by gutting out an 11-10 road win over one of the early season NLL Cup favourites.  A group of hard-working gifted grinders are these Toronto Rock.
  • Mark Matthews’ shoulder is completely healthy and so is his clutch gene. When the Rock needed the big goal in the final minute of the game, the Mail Man delivered with what stood up as the game winning goal with 58 seconds left.
  • Speaking of the Mail Man delivering, he’s just two assists away from 700 in his sure-to-be Hall of Fame career.
  • With Nick Rose going on the Injured Reserve, the Rock needed to acquire another goaltender with NLL playing experience. Rock GM Jamie Dawick pulled the trigger on a deal that sent a 2026 3rd Rd pick to the Buffalo Bandits for Steve Orleman.  The 26-year-old netminder played big minutes for the New York Riptide in 21-22 and 22-23 before sliding in as Matt Vinc’s backup in 23-24 and 24-25 winning championships in both years in Buffalo.
  • Sam English received high praise from Toronto Rock HC Matt Sawyer following the team’s win over Rochester. Sawyer said English was the best player on the floor, period.  English is quickly establishing himself as a threat at both ends of the floor and don’t you dare sleep on him in the Rookie-of-the-Year race.
  • INJURY REPORT: TD Ierlan is on the PUP List. Zack Kearney is on the Season Ending Injured Reserve List. Latrell Harris (Upper) and Nick Rose (Lower) are on the Injured Reserve List.
  • The Rock will be home again next Saturday on Indigenous Heritage Night against the Ottawa Black Bears.

Fans can check out a brand new episode of Rock City Unplugged featuring behind the scenes access and interviews with Rock players and staff that gives you a peek behind the curtain.

A new episode of the Toronto Rock Total Access Podcast also dropped featuring guest Alex Vander Vlugt from Ward 1 Studios, the producers of Rock City Unplugged.  Join host Mike Hancock and co-host Challen Rogers each week.
