What to watch for vs. Philadelphia Wings

Rock Looking For Team Record 9th Straight Win

Hamilton, ON – The Toronto Rock (9-2) will look to stretch their winning streak to a franchise-record nine games when they face the Philadelphia Wings (4-5) tonight at Wells Fargo Center.  Both teams enter tonight’s rare Monday night contest on the heels of home wins on Saturday.

Fans can watch the game vs. Philadelphia at 7:00pm ET on TSN’s digital platform TSN+ via TSN.ca and the TSN App.  To stream the game, simply login to TSN+ with your cable or satellite provider’s credentials or your TSN+ account info if you’re a subscriber to the streaming service.

Here’s what to watch for in tonight’s matchup.

  • History was made on Saturday night in the Rock’s win over Rochester when Dan Dawson assisted on a first quarter goal by Dan Craig making Dawson the second player in NLL history to score 1500 career points.
  • Nick Rose was outstanding in goal, making 46 saves for his 9th win of the season and 90th win of his NLL career.
  • Rookie forward Josh Dawick was moved from the practice roster to the active roster on Sunday. Going the other way was forward Marley Angus who is now on the practice roster.
  • A 9th consecutive win would be a franchise best, but it would also make the Rock 10-2 which they’ve only done one other time in franchise history and that was in 2015, also the last season the Rock made the NLL Finals.
  • Current Rock Head Coach Matt Sawyer passed NLL Hall of Famer and former Rock Head Coach Les Bartley with his 58th career win behind the Rock bench making him the all-time winningest coach in franchise history.
  • Brad Kri needs 3 LB for 800 in his career and Bill Hostrawser needs 7 LB for 700 in his career.
