What to watch for vs. Vancouver Warriors

Will three road wins in a row become four?

Vancouver, BC – The Toronto Rock (4-8) have been red-hot on the road, winning their last three, and take on the Vancouver Warriors (5-7) at Rogers Place in Vancouver, BC.  Since an injury-riddled 0-5 start to the season, the Rock are 4-3 and all three of those losses have been by a single goal.

Fans can watch the game vs. Vancouver at 10:00pm ET on TSN 4 and on TSN’s digital platform TSN+ via TSN.ca and the TSN App as well as ESPN+.  To stream the game on TSN+ or ESPN+, a paid subscription is required.

Here’s what to watch for in Friday’s matchup.

  • The Rock are coming to BC with designs on continuing their West Coast dominance of the Vancouver NLL franchise (Stealth+Warriors). Toronto is 13-1 head-to-head all-time against their western pals.  As the Warriors, the Vancouver squad is 0-5 vs. the Rock.  The one ray of sunshine for the Warriors vs. the Rock is that the lone victory the Vancouver squad claimed was in fact at home…but as the Stealth.
  • In just 7 games against Vancouver (Stealth+Warriors), Tom Schreiber has 20 goals, 30 assists, and 50 points. That’s an average of 7.14 points per game.
  • Tom Schreiber is 9 goals, 10 assists, and 13 points away from being 5th in Rock all-time goals, assists and points.
  • On the Warriors side, 2023 NLL MVP and Goaltender of the Year Christian Del Bianco’s season-long holdout ended when Calgary traded the goaltender to Vancouver on Monday. CDB is expected to start tonight for the Warriors.
  • The first time CDB started a game against the Rock was on March 11, 2017, and he allowed 6 goals on 14 shots and was pulled after just 13:53. He was a rookie, it was a long time ago, and it’s an absolute stretch, but tonight will be the first time he starts vs. the Rock for a new team.  Same thing?
  • INJURY REPORT: Brian Cameron (Lower Body) remains on the IR.
  • The Rock will return home to face Mitch de Snoo, Chris Corbeil, and the Philadelphia Wings on Marvel Super Hero™ Night on Saturday, March 22 at 7pm ET at Paramount Fine Foods Centre in Mississauga

Fans should also check out a new episode of Rock City Unplugged, debuting tonight at 7:30pm ET on the Rock’s YouTube Channel.
