Adam Jones Re-Signs With Rock

Sniper Excited To Stay At Home

Oakville, ON – Toronto Rock Owner, President and GM Jamie Dawick has announced a 2-year contract extension for forward Adam Jones through the 2019-20 season.  The contract is pending league approval.

Jones, 28, was acquired via trade from the Saskatchewan Rush last summer and in his first season in Toronto, led the team in goals with 37 and was second in points with 89 in 2018-19. That point total marked the second highest output of his career ranking only four points shy of his career best of 93 established in 2015 with the Colorado Mammoth. His 52 assists and 109 loose balls last season with the Rock set new career highs for the Owen Sound, ON native.

“I couldn’t be happier to sign with this incredible organization for the next two years,” said Jones. “It’s an exciting time for my family and I. We have a lot of potential and I can’t wait to get back at it.”

In his seven year career, Jones has scored 257 goals, 263 assists and topped the 500-career point mark last season with the Rock, currently sitting at 520 in just 109 games split between Colorado, Saskatchewan and Toronto. In the post-season, the crafty left-handed shooter’s goal scoring prowess has been on full display, scoring 29 goals and 36 points in just nine games.

Jones was scheduled to become a restricted free agent on Aug. 1 had he not received a qualifying offer or re-signed with the club prior to that date.
