Ladouceur enjoying role coaching Pee Wee Nationals

WHITBY, Ont. – Dan “Big Dog” Ladouceur is at Iroquois Park Arena in Whitby this weekend assisting former Rock coach Derek Keenan and former Rock player Pat Jones with Team Ontario at the Pee Wee National Box Lacrosse Championships.

The Ontario team is 6-0 entering this afternoon’s contest against British Columbia (also 6-0) at 5 p.m. at Iroquois Park Arena.

With a win, Ontario would move on to the final on Saturday (3 p.m., Pad 1). A loss and Ontario would play Iroquois or Alberta in a semi-final game on Friday (8:30 a.m., Pad 3).

Meanwhile, the Ontario Bantam team is in a four-way tie for first place at 5-1 with British Columbia, Iroquois and Alberta. The Iroquois Nationals defeated Ontario 9-8 in overtime on Tuesday night, but the Ontario team rebounded with a 9-3 pounding of British Columbia on Wednesday.

The Bantam National Final goes Saturday Aug. 12 at 8 p.m. (Pad 1, Iroquois Park Arena).
