Camp Opens on Halloween

Oakville, ON – Toronto Rock Owner and GM Jamie Dawick today announced the official training camp roster for the defending NLL Champion Toronto Rock as Saturday marks an official turning of the page to the new season with the opening of training camp.

While there aren’t many faces that have departed from last season’s championship edition of the Toronto Rock, there are certainly some new faces in town that will make this the most competitive training camp in recent memory.

The most notable new faces are those of a pair of second overall picks in successive NLL Drafts.  Lefty do-it-all defender Ty English and right-handed shooting forward Silas Richmond project to be elite players in the NLL and they might achieve that status quite quickly.

One key piece that will be absent from training camp and miss the beginning of the NLL season is CJ Kirst.  The reigning NLL rookie of the year is sidelined with a lower body injury.  The Rock expect Kirst to be back in the new year.

The Rock will have their second training camp session on Tuesday night and will open the preseason on Saturday, November 7 at 7pm vs Saskatchewan at the TRAC in Oakville.
