ROCK GAMES BROADCAST ON TSN2 IN 2010

The Toronto Rock Lacrosse Club and TSN2 have announced that nine regular season National Lacrosse League Rock games will be broadcast throughout the 2010 season.

“I’m very excited that our fans, nationwide, will get the chance to see the Rock back on television, both at home and on the road,” said Jamie Dawick, President & Owner, Toronto Rock Lacrosse Club. “I’m thrilled that the Rock can continue to promote the sport of lacrosse with a great network like TSN2.”

For the first time since 2004, Toronto Rock fans can see the team on the road. TSN2 will broadcast a mix of home and away games. TSN2’s slate of Toronto Rock games begins with the season opener on Saturday, Jan. 9 against the Boston Blazers. TSN2 will also have the Rock’s home opener at the Air Canada Centre on January 15 as well as games against the Calgary Roughnecks, Edmonton Rush, Buffalo Bandits, Rochester Knighthawks and Orlando Titans.

“We are excited to have National Lacrosse League games broadcast across Canada on TSN2,” said George Daniel, Commissioner, National Lacrosse League.

“We’re excited that lacrosse fans will now have greater access to  more live action of Canada’s national sport than ever before on TSN2,” said Phil King, President, TSN.  “TSN2 is committed to giving fans more choice when it comes to live sporting events.  The addition of Toronto Rock lacrosse to TSN2 delivers the National Lacrosse League to its passionate fans across the country, elevating the league’s profile and enhancing TSN2’s line-up of live major league action.”

Boston Blazers at Toronto Rock – Friday, January 15 at 10:30 p.m. ET (tape delay)
Rochester Knighthawks at Toronto Rock – Saturday, January 23 at 7:00 p.m. ET
Toronto Rock at Calgary Roughnecks – Sunday, February 14 at 6:30 p.m. ET
Toronto Rock at Edmonton Rush – Sunday, February 21 at 7:00 p.m. ET (tape delay)
Orlando Titans at Toronto Rock – Saturday, February 27 at TBD
Calgary Roughnecks at Toronto Rock – Friday, April 2 at 10:30 p.m.ET (tape delay)
