Rock Make More Moves As Deadline Approaches

Oakville, ON – The Toronto Rock have released six players as Thursday’s 12:00pm ET roster submission deadline approaches.  Forwards Mike Burke, Brady Heseltine, Trevor Wagar and Shawn Williams along with defenders Jimmy Purves and Eric Pitre have all been released from the active roster.

On Thursday, all NLL teams must cut down to a roster of 20 active players and can sign up to 4 players to their practice roster.  The moves bring the Rock’s active roster down to 24 players.

The Rock will have another preseason tune-up on Saturday at 7pm at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre against the New England Black Wolves.  There is no charge for admission, however fans are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for the Kerr Street Ministries food bank.
