Rock Re-Sign Duo

Oakville, ON – Toronto Rock Owner, President & GM Jamie Dawick announced today the re-signing of two members of last year’s NLL East Division championship team.  Transition player Jesse Gamble and defender Bill Hostrawser have each agreed to new contracts, pending league approval.

Gamble has played all 5 of his NLL seasons in a Rock uniform after being selected in the 2nd round of the 2011 NLL Draft by Toronto.  The 27-year old has emerged as one of the Rock’s most reliable defenders and is always a threat to make something happen when transitioning the ball up the floor into the offensive end.  His new agreement is a 3-year deal that will keep him in Toronto through the 2018 season.

23-year old, Grand Valley, Ontario’s Hostrawser is a veteran of 3 NLL seasons and began his career in 2013 with the Stealth franchise.  The no-nonsense defender was acquired from Vancouver early in the 2014 season and quickly established himself as a regular in the Rock lineup.  Hostrawser’s deal is also a 3-year pact through 2018.

“Jesse and Billy are both key parts of our back end,” said Dawick.  “They are both going to be here for a while.  The 3-year contracts show that we’re committed to them and they have shown the same commitment to the Toronto Rock.”

NLL teams will continue to negotiate with and sign previously rostered free agents prior to the league-wide free agency period opening on August 1st.
