Rock hold 2^nd Overall Pick for the third straight draft

Oakville, ON – The 2026 NLL Draft presented by Capelli Sport is tonight at 6pm ET and fans can watch first round coverage of the draft live on the NLL’s YouTube and Facebook pages.  The defending NLL champion Toronto Rock will select second overall and add another high-end talent to their already incredibly deep roster.

The Rock acquired the first round selection in a February 2025 deal with the Calgary Roughnecks that sent Nick Rose west.  The rest, as they say, is history. Rose returned to Toronto in free agency for the 25-26 season and backstopped the Rock to their seventh championship in franchise history in May.

Tonight marks the third consecutive draft where the Rock will pick second overall.  In 2024, the Rock selected future NLL Finals MVP Sam English and then in 2025 they picked Ty English who will make his NLL debut this season.

The Rock hold six picks in the six round selection process.  The draft was reduced to five rounds earlier this year, however there are four picks that make up a sixth round.  Those picks in the final round are selections that were acquired via trades prior to the league’s decision to scale down the number of rounds in the draft.

The 2026-27 Toronto Rock Schedule was announced earlier this week on Tuesday.  Season Memberships are on sale now and are the only way to guarantee seats for the Home Opener on Saturday, November 28 at TD Coliseum in Hamilton.
