Rock Sign Free Agent Forward Nathan Grenon

Rock Place Brian Cameron on the Injured Reserve List

Oakville, ON – Toronto Rock Owner, President, and General Manager Jamie Dawick announced today that rookie forward Brian Cameron has been placed on the Injured Reserve List.  The Rock have signed free agent forward Nathan Grenon to a 1-year agreement.

The roster moves are pending league approval.

Cameron had been enjoying a terrific rookie season, but a nagging injury originally sustained in training camp has worsened and he will need to spend some time on the Injured Reserve List.

To replace Cameron on the Active Roster, the Rock will look to Grenon who was recently released by his hometown Ottawa Black Bears.  The former NLL first round pick appeared in just two games for Ottawa picking up a single assist.  However, over the course of his NLL career, Grenon has played 46 games and scored 46 goals, 47 assists and 93 points.

Originally selected by the Panther City Lacrosse Club in the first round, 11th overall in the 2021 NLL Draft, the gritty lefty spent two seasons with PCLC before moving on to Albany last season.  Prior to the 24-25 campaign, the Black Bears used a 2027 second round pick to acquire Grenon from the FireWolves.

There is some familiarity with Grenon as he started the 2024 Major Series Lacrosse season as a member of the Oakville Rock who are also coached by Toronto Rock head coach Matt Sawyer.

Grenon will practice with his new teammates on Friday night for the first time and will be available to make his Rock debut on Saturday night when Toronto hosts Georgia at Paramount Fine Foods Centre in Mississauga.
